The Show-Me State said “Show me the green” and marked the legalization of recreational cannabis in December. Greenlight, a multi-state cannabis operator, announced today the launch of adult-use sales in its home state of Missouri, where it is the largest vertically integrated operator with retail, manufacturing and cultivation facilities.,

Missouri consumers can now purchase recreational cannabis from Greenlight dispensaries in St. Louis, Kansas City and southeast and southwest Missouri. The company touts safe and effective products from licensed cultivators including flower, edibles, concentrates and consumables.

The company says has been preparing for the coming of adult use since November: Doubling cultivation, adding drive-thru services, digital kiosks and expedited lines for patients. The Missouri cannabis market is expected to reach $550 million in first-year sales.

“Today is a historic day for Greenlight and the state of Missouri. Given the thriving patient community and surrounding borders we anticipate Missouri to be a billion dollar market by 2024,” said John Mueller, co-founder and CEO of Greenlight. “We’re looking forward to serving our new community of adult-use consumers as every dollar we sell in a taxed and regulated market is one less dollar going to the black market.”

Greenlight is continuing to expand its operations in limited license states including Missouri, Arkansas, West Virginia, Illinois and South Dakota. Greenlight has 33 cannabis dispensary licenses, more than 150,000 square feet of cultivation and manufacturing and has plans to operate 40 dispensaries in 2023.
