As proof that the cream will always rise to the top, Sunset Connect, a maker of artisan. top selling pre-rolls in California, is thriving in a market dominated by corporate cannabis — despite only being available in a few Northern California stores.

“We managed to disrupt one of the hottest categories in the business out of only 30 stores in the Bay Area,” says founder and CEO Ali Jamalian of the legacy and social equity crewed, Sunset Connect.

Sunset Connect is one of the few brands that has managed to capture the hearts of cannabis consumers without marketing gimmicks, fancy packaging or NFTs. They understand the economics of heavy consumption and are committed to supplying high grade, hand-crafted prerolls and artisanal hash at an affordable price.

“We are kind of like the Boudin of pre-rolls,” says founder and CEO Ali Jamalian of the legacy and social equity crewed, Sunset Connect. “We make super high quality products at a reasonable price without ever compromising our quality standards. Intent and experience is everything when it comes to making cannabis products for the extremely savvy Bay Area smokers – needless to say, we only use indoor cannabis sourced in the bay.”

But what happens when you hit your limits of self-distribution?  Sunset Connect’s recent signing with HERBL is a major milestone for both Sunset Connect and San Francisco’s Social Equity program as a whole.

“Signing with HERBL is a major milestone for a social equity operator such as ourselves: we now have the ability to supply every store across the state,” says Jamalian. “Teaming with HERBL allows us to expand significantly while we can focus on what we do best: making dank pre-rolls and hash.”
