AUDACIOUS of Las Vegas, NV has put down roots in the Land of Smiles. The multi-state U.S. operator partnered with Golden Triangle Health of Bangkok, Thailand to open the Hebrides Medical Center in the Thai capital, the first such cannabis clinic backed by a U.S. company in the country.

Following a soft launch in February, AUDACIOUS and Golden Triangle Health officially opened the Herbidus Medical Center in March, the partners announced.

“Interest in medical cannabis is expanding rapidly in Thailand. With the opening of the Herbidus Medical Center, we are looking forward to bringing AUDACIOUS’s cannabis expertise and seasoned corporate leadership to the Thai cannabis market,” AUDACIOUS and AUSA Corporation CEO Terry Booth said in a statement.

As Thailand aggressively opens new opportunities for legal cannabis, the AUDACIOUS and Golden Triangle Health partnership is poised to serve the nation of 70 million, he said. Since February, Herbidus has already had close to 800 patient visits, Booth noted.

Herbidus is among the first clinics in Asia that can prescribe cannabis for medical treatments in compliance with changing laws. The clinic sells medicinal cannabis approved by Thailand’s Government Pharmaceutical Organization. It is staffed by doctors and adheres to global standards for the use of cannabis in patient treatment, AUDACIOUS chief science officer Dr. Jason Dyck said.

“We have made significant advances in understanding the medical conditions that patients are seeking cannabis treatment for, as well as studying the health outcomes of these patients. The results of these studies will now become an integral part of the knowledge base of the practitioners at our Herbidus clinics,” Dyck said.

Golden Triangle Health is a subsidiary of NR Instant Produce of Thailand, a leading global manufacturer and distributor of sustainably produced foods with a market cap close to US$400 million.

“The partnership with AUDACIOUS further strengthens our operational capabilities in the cannabis space, adding valuable equity to our brand positioning. We have many opportunities and are leveraging our network of international distribution contacts to execute rapidly and build leadership in the Asia-Pacific cannabis market,” Golden Triangle Health co-founder Tom Kruesopon said.

AUDACIOUS is a part of AUSA Corporation, a spinoff of Canada’s Aurora Cannabis, created with the intent of focusing on cannabis investments in the United States. Led by Booth, AUSA is building a multi-state U.S. operation based on a strategy of securing access to low-cost but high-quality biomass.

The AUDACIOUS team offers expertise in services that range from providing sustainable cultivation design to optimizing retail storefronts. Both a grower and a manufacturer, the company owns the award-winning brands Tsunami, Provisions, Mr. Natural, LOOS and Wreck Relief.

“The market in Thailand is anticipated to take off in the coming year, while other countries in the region are considering various degrees of legalization as well. Through our early mover advantage and our partner’s deep connections, AUDACIOUS is positioned very well to pursue rapid expansion in this region with enormous potential,” Booth said.
