Las Vegas is set to welcome its first (somewhat) cannabis-friendly hotel, The Lexi Hotel, which will open its doors to the public on June 2, 2023.

The boutique hotel, formerly the Artisan Hotel Boutique, located near the Strip, has undergone a multi-million-dollar renovation. It is the first new hotel to open in Las Vegas in 2023 and bills itself as “the only cannabis-inclusive property in town.”

While the public consumption of cannabis in Las Vegas is legal, apparently nobody has yet to do so in a hotel room where the management didn’t care.

According to company, only the rooms located on the fourth floor of The Lexi Hotel will available for cannabis use at first. These are plumbed with a “state-of-the-art” RestorAir filtration system that employs Advanced Oxidation Cell (AOC) technology. “This technology will ensure that the air in the rooms is clean and fresh,” the hotel says.  Time will tell.

“One of our goals is to de-stigmatize the use of cannabis in the proper areas,” Alex Rizk, CEO of Elevations Hotels and Resorts told Fox News. “So, we are following and will follow the local laws, even though some of our hotels will have more flexibility depending on where they are.”

Long-term, Rizk says the company plans to introduce a pot lounge at the property, but the Hotel still needs to go through the application process with the Nevada Cannabis Compliance Board.
