To Make More Sales, Be Sure to Keep Your Hands “In the Box”

YOU WERE BORN to use your hands to help you communicate but many sales associates either don’t use hand gestures effectively or let their hands send the wrong signal. Vanessa Van Edwards, author of Captivate, says the first rule of hand use is to “stay in the box” from the top of your chest to the bottom of your waist. Use your hands purposefully, smoothly and with restraint and you may be surprised with how much more confidence and control you have over sales situations. Video yourself practicing to really master your new “hand”-icraft.
