Mint Cannabis this week became the first dispensary in Arizona to offer around-the-clock services for medical cannabis patients — one of the few dispensaries in the nation to do so. Headquartered in Guadalupe, AZ, Mint Cannabis is a multi-state cannabis operator with stores in Tempe, Mesa and Phoenix and a rapidly growing presence in Michigan and Missouri.
In September, the Guadalupe Town Council voted 4-1 to allow medical and recreational dispensaries to stay open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, reports the Phoenix New Times. The Tempe dispensary began its 24-hours a day operations this week at the Mint’s store located at 5210 S. Priest Drive.
Catering to the shift in post-pandemic work habits and expectations of streamlined purchases, the Mint will first operate 24-hours a day on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. It plans to expand to additional days, based on demand, to serve its most in-need individuals during overnight hours.
In addition to that midnight gummy run, Patients can order items online at mintdeals.com and pick up their late-night orders at the Mint’s drive-thru, curbside, or in the dispensary. Patients within a 25-mile radius can also have their medicine home delivered.
The Mint’s Tempe dispensary is not only the largest in the state, but it is also the third-largest in the nation.
The company’s flagship store introduced the nation’s first-of-its-kind full-service cannabis kitchen with freshly prepared infused foods. In 2019 the dispensary added a large on-site grow and, in 2020, opened its “Do you want rolling papers with that order?” drive-thru — winning the dispensary a “Most Innovative” nod from the international Commercial Cannabis Awards.
