Sunrise Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale will be a little sunnier this month with the grand opening of a new Surterra Wellness Center. This marks the ribbon-cutting on Surterra’s 45th medical marijuana treatment center in Florida. A retail brand of multi-state cannabis operator Parallel – Surterra serves Florida with its own branded products. Located on spring breakers’ favorite strip to cruise their jeeps, the store is currently in operation, but the grand opening will held on April 28 at the wellness center located at 1776 E Sunrise Blvd.

“It’s a great honor to finally make Surterra’s world-class products and services available to patients in the heart of Fort Lauderdale and surrounding communities,” said Karim Bouaziz, president of Surterra. “We look forward to serving all qualified patients, residents and visitors, as well as those who are seeking first-time consultations.”

In celebration, customers will enjoy a belated 4/20 present with 42.0% off all items, except accessories, as well as giveaways and double loyalty points for the day. Florida requires a medical marijuana card to purchase cannabis, but other guests can take advantage of a free consultation at the wellness center. In concert with its expanding community presence in Florida, Surterra is also calling artists to play a role in creating an inventive cannabis space. All Surterra stores, including the new Fort Lauderdale branch, are looking for local artists to put their work on display for a two-to-four-month period. Selected artists will gain exposure in-store as well as through Surterra’s email subscriber lists and social media channels. If you’re an artist, you can submit examples your work to Surterra’s website.

Surterra Wellness Centers offer patients an array of medicinal products developed by the company to enhance a patient’s well-being. Surterra-branded products are produced from plants grown at its own cultivation facility, where the company says no harmful chemicals or ingredients are used. Surterra Wellness Centers have been designed to deliver a trusted way for patients to purchase, connect and learn about medical marijuana.

Parallel is a privately held, vertically integrated, multi-state cannabis company with a mission to pioneer well-being and improve the quality of life through cannabinoids. Parallel has ongoing operations in five medical and adult-use markets under the retail brands of Surterra Wellness in Florida; goodblend in Texas and in Pennsylvania; New England Treatment Access (NETA) in Massachusetts; and a joint venture with the Cookies retail brand in Nevada.
