Benzinga Cannabis Capital Conference Gathers Industry Titans and Policymakers in Chicago, September 27-28

The Benzinga Cannabis Capital Conference, the world’s premier cannabis investing and finance event, is set to take place in Chicago on September 27-28, 2023. This year’s conference, of which Global Cannabis Times is a partner, will bring together a diverse group of thought leaders, policymakers, advocates, and institutional investors to foster community and collaboration within the cannabis industry.

“We’re thrilled to have such strong enthusiasm and engagement at this year’s event,” said Benzinga CEO Jason Raznick. “The remarkable level of participation not only underscores the event’s growing significance as a focal point for industry collaboration, but it also indicates the resurgence of interest from both policymakers and institutional investors in the ever-evolving cannabis landscape.”

The event has already seen a 30% increase in participation compared to the previous year, attracting representatives from major multi-state operators (MSOs), brands, and significant ancillary players in the cannabis sector. Distinguished speakers include Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker, U.S. Virgin Islands Governor Albert Bryan Jr., former Senator Cory Gardner, former Representative Ed Perlmutter, and Ricky Sandler, CEO of Eminence Capital, among others. Leading figures from the cannabis industry, such as Trulieve’s CEO Kim Rivers and Curaleaf’s Chairman of the Board, Boris Jordan, will also share their insights.

In addition to two days of informative sessions, the conference features an expo floor connecting attendees with over 60 data companies, lenders, brands, and finance-service companies for potential partnerships. The inaugural Deal Floor, an exclusive space, will facilitate connections between buyers and sellers, offering a platform for potential partnerships and transactions.

“At this pivotal juncture for our industry, we believe that community and collaboration are key,” Raznick emphasized. “As we gather the brightest minds, distinguished advocates, and enterprising investors under one roof, we anticipate remarkable dialogues, transformative insights, and groundbreaking opportunities that will shape the future trajectory of the cannabis sector.”

Tickets for the conference will continue to rise in price as the event approaches, however Global Cannabis Times readers can get 20% off if they use the discount code “GCT20”.  More information on tickets and the show can be found at https://www.benzinga.com/events/cannabis-conference/ .
